About KENT PRIEL

Since 1970, Kent has lived in North Platte, Nebraska, but has been a Nebraska resident for 66 years of his life. Kent’s parents and grandparents got him involved in fishing at a very young age, and he’s been going strong ever since. Kent has fished several local lakes since he was a teenager, but Lake of The Ozarks in Missouri is his favorite tournament lake.

Kent has fished competitively in several different pro circuits over the years and has taken a High School team to every national event in TF and BASS since its start in 2015. The highlight of Kent’s career was being named a Wrangler Angler in 1998, finishing 2nd in the BASS Federation Nationals and qualifying to fish the 1998 Bass Masters Classic on High Rock Lake in North Carolina.

Kent has run competitive brands for over 20 years and likely had at least 13 boats in his 50 years of competitive fishing. He’s currently running a 2022 PHOENIX 21 PHX, his 2nd boat from Angler’s Port Marine.

Most recently, Kent has only been fishing local TBF and BASS State events, due to the caretaking of his elderly parents. Kent has been married to the love of his life Cara for 27 years and has a daughter, Brittany, and a grandson, River.

When not on the open water, Kent loves the hard water and is an avid Duck hunter.
