About Kevin Smith- 2026 Pro Staff Member

A lifelong resident of Benton County, Kevin Smith’s roots in fishing run deep. He grew up crappie fishing Truman Lake with his grandfather — a foundation that sparked a lifelong passion for the outdoors and competitive bass fishing.

Today, Kevin runs a Phoenix 921 and competes in the Solo Series, Top 100, FX Team Series, the Joe Bass Team Series, USA Bassin, and other regional events. He has also claimed a win in the Solo Series, adding to an already impressive competitive resume.

Over the years, Kevin has built an outstanding tournament track record, including two third-place finishes in the Walmart BFL, a TBF Regional Championship win in Arkansas, and appearances in two National Championships in South Carolina and Tennessee. Yet among all his accomplishments, Kevin considers coaching his High School Fishing Team to be his greatest achievement.

Professionally, Kevin works closely with youth and remains deeply committed to mentoring the next generation. With experience as both a state and club youth director, he firmly believes that introducing young people to fishing, hunting, and the outdoors opens doors, builds character, and broadens horizons. His passion for conservation and land management further reflects his dedication to protecting the resources he loves.

With a diverse background in boats and fishing equipment, Kevin is always willing to share his knowledge and help others find the right setup for their needs. His leadership, integrity, and heart for the outdoors make him a valued member of the Angler’s Port Marine Pro Staff as he heads into the 2026 season.
