About MATT KING

Matt King, a seasoned angler residing in Camdenton, MO, on the shores of Lake of the Ozarks, is an integral member of Angler’s Port Marine Pro Staff. Matt’s journey into the world of fishing is deeply rooted in a lifelong passion for the outdoors.

Originally from Georgia, Matt’s childhood was spent exploring creeks and ponds, and as a teenager in Kansas, he honed his skills in farm ponds. With a college baseball background, Matt seamlessly transitioned from the baseball diamond to the Ozark lakes after graduation, accumulating over 30 years of experience on these waters.

Professionally, Matt has been a stalwart in the Marketing and Advertising industry for over 27 years, currently managing and running King Marketing Group, Inc for three decades. His extensive career hasn’t deterred him from pursuing his love for bass fishing, taking him across the country to compete in local, regional, and national events.

Matt’s accomplishments in bass fishing are truly noteworthy. A MLF BFL All American Qualifier, and a three-time BASS and TBF National qualifier, he boasts success and wins at all levels of competition. Currently fishing the MLF BFL Ozark Division circuit and various Team circuits at Lake of the Ozarks and other Ozark lakes, Matt also proudly represents FX Custom Rods and Mercury Marine.

Beyond the water, Matt is a family man with four children and five grandchildren. When not chasing bass, he finds joy in coaching baseball, teaching others how to fish, and inspiring them to be the best they can be.
