About MATT KING 2026 PRO STAFF MEMBER

Matt King, a seasoned angler residing in Camdenton, Missouri, on the shores of Lake of the Ozarks, is a dedicated member of the Angler’s Port Marine Pro Staff. His journey into competitive bass fishing is rooted in a lifelong passion for the outdoors and a relentless drive to improve.

Originally from Georgia, Matt spent his early years exploring creeks and ponds, later refining his skills in Kansas farm ponds. A former college baseball player, Matt transitioned his competitive mindset from the diamond to the Ozark lakes after graduation and has now accumulated more than 30 years of experience on these waters.

Professionally, Matt has built an impressive career in the marketing and advertising industry, leading King Marketing Group, Inc. for three decades. His expertise in branding and promotion translates seamlessly into his approach as a Pro Staff member, where authentic, professional representation remains a priority both on and off the water.

For 2026, Matt will be competing extensively across multiple circuits, including MLF, BFL, Toyota Series, AIA, Joe Bass, Just Fish, and other regional events. He runs a 2024 Phoenix 921 Elite and utilizes both Garmin and Lowrance electronics to stay competitive at the highest level.

Matt proudly represents Fish Xtreme Rods, Mercury Marine, Phoenix Boats, and Angler’s Port Marine.

Beyond competition, Matt is a proud father of four and grandfather of Six. When he’s not chasing bass, he enjoys spending time with family, boating,  traveling, and embracing the outdoors. He also finds fulfillment in coaching baseball and mentoring others in the sport he loves.

Matt’s experience, competitive drive, and professional marketing background make him a strong ambassador for Angler’s Port Marine as he heads into a highly active 2026 season.
