About MIKE GOLD

Born and raised in Southwest Missouri, I, Mike Gold, discovered my love for fishing during my childhood adventures at the area lakes with my parents and grandparents. As a graduate of Republic, Missouri High School, I balanced my love for fishing with a competitive spirit fostered by playing high school football and baseball.

My journey into competitive fishing began at a young age, participating in local buddy tournaments and regional Pro/Am competitions, including the Heartland Pro/Am circuit for four years as an amateur. This experience allowed me to learn from seasoned pros, navigate regional lakes, and qualify as a four-time championship qualifier.

In 2004, fueled by my passion for the sport, I made the transition to fish professionally in the Heartland circuit. That year, I earned the title of Rookie of the Year, finishing 5th in overall points against skilled regional pros. Unfortunately, I had to take an extended break from fishing due to job demands and health issues, during which I focused on raising my daughters and spending quality time with my family.

Returning to the water in 2017, I resumed competitive fishing in buddy tournaments and the FLW BFL Pro/Am’s. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be back on the water, pursuing my love for the sport.

Guide Experience: I bring seven years of guide experience with Eric’s Elite Guide Service in Branson, Missouri, covering the White River chain of lakes (Table Rock, Beaver, and Bull Shoals). Being on the water over 200 days a year as a guide has allowed me to directly connect with customers, helping them understand the benefits of the equipment we use.
