A seasoned angler from Webb City, Missouri, Rick Johnston brings more than 40 years of passion and experience to the water. Over the course of his fishing career, he has owned more than 25 boats — and now running a Phoenix 921 Elite, Rick believes he’s found one of his finest setups yet.

Rick competes in the Ozark Mountain Team Trail, BFL, and numerous other regional events, consistently proving himself among the top anglers in the field. His tournament résumé includes a victory in the highly competitive BFL Ozark Division, four career wins on the Ozark Mountain Team Trail — including the 2023 OMTT Championship — and Angler of the Year titles in both the OMTT and the BFL Ozark Division, along with an Angler of the Year title in the Anglers in Action circuit. His consistency, preparation, and competitive mindset have earned him respect throughout the fishing community.

Proudly representing Angler’s Port Marine, Rick also supports Phoenix Boats, Mercury Marine, Bass Boat Technologies, Halo Fishing, Freedom Tackle, NetBait, American Baitworks, and E3 Ranch & Co.

Beyond fishing, Rick has spent more than 30 years as an auto body paint technician, a career that reflects the same attention to detail and craftsmanship he brings to his boat and equipment. When he’s not competing, Rick enjoys dirt late model racing and spending time with his wife Sherri, family, and friends. He is also a proud supporter of the E3 Foundation.

With decades of experience, proven success, and unwavering passion for the sport, Rick Johnston continues to represent Angler’s Port Marine with pride as he heads into the 2026 season.
