Rob Greer is a lifelong resident of Joplin, Missouri, and brings a wealth of experience and passion to the world of fishing. As the past owner and founder of Ozark Mountain Tackle Company, he has deep roots in the angling community.

Rob’s journey in fishing started at a young age, fishing for bass with his father. With over 45 years of tournament fishing experience, he’s honed his skills and developed a profound connection to the sport. For the past 12 years, he’s shared his love for fishing with his son, Josh, competing in various team trails and tournaments together.

Rob has tested his angling prowess in a range of tournaments and circuits, including Bass World Sports, AIA/Midwest Fish Tournaments, Nichols Team Trail, Woholi Fall Classic, and the prestigious Bassmaster Toyota Team Championship.

Rob’s dedication and skill have earned him a list of impressive accomplishments. He was part of the 2018 and 2022 AIA Grand Lake Division Team of the Year. In 2022, he secured two 1st place finishes and a 2nd place finish in the AIA team Championship at Truman Lake. In 2018, he claimed the 3rd Place title at the Big Bass Bash/AIA Grand Lake. In 2016, Rob achieved a remarkable 4th place finish in the Bassmaster Toyota National Team Championship on Kentucky Lake. He has also amassed numerous wins and top 5 finishes with Nichols Team Trail, Bass World Sports, Woholi, and AIA.

Rob’s success in the fishing world is due in part to the support of his valued sponsors, including Anglers Port Marine, Lew’s/Strike King, Phoenix Boats, and Mercury Marine.

When he’s not casting his line in new and unfamiliar lakes, Rob enjoys the thrill of Deer and Turkey hunting, perfecting his golf game, and cherishing moments with his family and granddaughters.

Rob is currently out on the water in his 2023 Phoenix 721 Pro XP, and he couldn’t be more delighted with the ride and layout.
