About Sam Maggio

With over 46 years of fishing experience, Kansas City native Sam Maggio is a seasoned angler whose passion for the sport runs deep. Now retired from Freeway Market, Sam dedicates much of his time to the water, competing in 15–20 bass tournaments each year. Over the course of his fishing career, he’s owned 18 boats—including two Phoenix models purchased from Angler’s Port Marine, where he’s proudly served as a pro staff member for the past seven years.

Focused primarily on bass, Sam brings a wealth of knowledge, competitive spirit, and consistency to every tournament he enters.

He is proudly sponsored by Phoenix Boats, Anglers Port Marine, Molle Toyota, Humminbird, and MRAA KTA. When he’s not fishing, Sam enjoys hunting, golfing, and spending quality time with his wife and two children, Victoria (14) and Vincent (11).
